Admin work, working closely with account managers to build quotes for them and send them off to customers. Bidding, returning orders, tracking orders etc.
learnt so many new skills such as admin skills, the ability to work closely with others, team work and most definitely developed on my communication skills
I love my role and apprenticeship. although it is sometimes a little overwhelming being so busy with work then having to keep on top of apprenticeship work at the same time. everything pays off in the end so i cannot fault it
very well organised, enough training provided, more than enough support provided and a good amount of work to keep us in the loop for our final grade.
I receive an unbelievable amount of support from Firebrand, no matter the time or day they are there to help if i ring. they are amazing. they continuously create calls we can join for help as a team, they make sure we have several calls booked in spread over weeks to make sure we are okay.
i receive so much support from my training provider when working towards my qualification. i am currently on my second project and struggling so bad with it however they make sure to book in time with me to make sure i am okay with everything and if i am not they will sit and help me until i feel confident enough to do it on my own without their help. project work can be hard especially in my role as it doesnt relate so much to me but the support i have around me is that good i dont feel too overwhelmed with it
i am confident that my qualification helps me to perform better as it builds on skills i cannot build on in my role. such as communicating with customers, this helps me in my role for times that i may need to communicate with a customer and how i would do it
there are several different activities available to me at work such as annual events like kick off, social events such as vendors coming into the office with games/activities and provide dinner etc
Yes
I would recommend softcat to my friend because it the most friendliest most comfortable workplace i have ever been in. the atmosphere is amazing and never a dull moment when working here. it is the perfect place for someone with a big personality and loves a laugh!
be confident, show your personality and engage with as many people ass possible! it can be scary at times coming into such a hard working role as a young person but it is all worth it in the end. network with others and just enjoy every day as it comes.
