Checking guests in, making sure everyone is safe and recieves anything they need to improve their stay. Also setting up housekeeping so they have the appropriate linen and paperwork to do their job and setting up so morning reception and restaurant have what they need to process their day.
I’ve learnt a lot more on hospitality legislation than I knew before and a lot more in depth of what I currently do for my role.
I enjoy my programme a lot as I am learning a lot about my role academically as well as physically learnt on the job things. It will also benefit me in the future as it can help me with progression in the company.
Very well structured and it gives me dates on when I need to submit my work. It also allows me to see what I have coming up and what that piece of work is and when it is due in to be marked.
I receive a fair amount of support however I work nights so don’t see management so it’s rare I get much support however I feel like I don’t need it at the moment.
I receive a lot of help from my training provider and if I have any issues, problems or worries she listens and tries to help as much as she can.
It teaches me in depth about areas in my role where maybe I wouldn’t have thought to do that. In the long run it helps to change behaviour to provide things like better service.
