As part of the Refit Support Group we carry out routine maintenance on the ships whilst they are in dry dock that would have been don by the crew whilst out at sea.. This includes cycling valves, turning motors, embarking fuel. We also print tallies and place them on the equipment that they are missing from.
I have learnt lost of new skills and have developed existing ones. Skill have have learnt include reading and understanding wiring diagrams, hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams and semantics and drawings of induvial components as well as whole systems. I have developed my existing communication skills and my time keeping skills.
