Working in the PwC Cambridge office audit practice. It involves day to day working with the client and team on a Hybrid working environment. We work with companies to complete the audit of their accounts and work within a large team to complete this. Working on a large range of clients
I have furthered my skills on specific accounting software as well as Excel and other Microsoft programs. We also fully utilise the Google Suite of applications. Additionally I have furthered my technical knowledge in accounting including worldwide standards such as IFRS. Team working and people skills have also been developed
I have enjoyed my program over the last four years. It is great to work with others at Uni and also on placement at the office. There is a good team of people at the office outside of the program that we get to work with which makes it enjoyable.
The program is well structured and overall well organised. We are sometimes told in advance all of the information we need to know and we also have a team of people who are quick to answer questions and help. On occasions we have last minute changes which are not always communicated.
We received lots of support from our employer throughout the whole course. We get input from the first year throughout all placements. We get help in expenses for uni and also expenses when at work. Also the paid placement is great financial support for uni. We also receive other support such as guidance across the course.
We receive support throughout our training when it is at uni and at the office. We are well prepared for our final exams out of uni with support from PwC. Whilst on placement we have minimal contact with uni but when placement ends we have support in place for our exams.
Our training and qualifications are essential for a future in this profession. The exams are based on what we do in our job role so the training and qualifications allow us to complete our work to a better standard. We learn lots of technical knowledge at uni which we put in place at work.
We have lots of extra curricular activities through our work placement. The cambridge office is a great place to work and a social office which includes activities such as Football and Bowling regularly. We also get opportunities to go and work at student recruitment events and spread the knowledge of our course.
Yes
PwC is a great place to work as it looks after its staff and gives us great opportunities. It has a great reputation and brand which is great to work for and there is a good group of people within our office to work alongside. I would recommend PwC to a friend
I would suggest using the PwC employment hub found on the PwC Careers website. By doing this you will receive loads of support on the application process and what PwC are looking for at each stage of the application process as well as guides and support on what is expected
