  • From the second year onwards, the course involves attending University for certain periods of the year and attending placement for other periods of the year. On placement I was an audit intern/trainee. This involved performing recalculations and conducting testing over financial balances.

  • I have improved my digital and tech skills through frequent use of Excel and other digital tools.

  • The programme is very enjoyable; the people on the programme are sociable and the placement provides you with an early insight into the industry.

  • Very organised.

  • I received a lot of coaching from senior members of staff.

  • The qualification content is covered through lectures at University. The lecturers are good at explaining the content, and provide us with sufficient practice questions to help with our exam preparation.

  • I feel that it provides a deeper understanding of the work we perform.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • At University, we have an annual ball as well as several course socials. There is also a course football team. On placement, there are department socials and also team socials which provide the opportunity for networking.

  • Yes

  • The people who work at PwC are very friendly and the office environment is very positive.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to PwC?
  • It is important to stay organised as you may have several tasks ongoing at any one time. This is applicable to both the placement and university.
