From the second year onwards, the course involves attending University for certain periods of the year and attending placement for other periods of the year. On placement I was an audit intern/trainee. This involved performing recalculations and conducting testing over financial balances.
I have improved my digital and tech skills through frequent use of Excel and other digital tools.
The programme is very enjoyable; the people on the programme are sociable and the placement provides you with an early insight into the industry.
Very organised.
I received a lot of coaching from senior members of staff.
The qualification content is covered through lectures at University. The lecturers are good at explaining the content, and provide us with sufficient practice questions to help with our exam preparation.
I feel that it provides a deeper understanding of the work we perform.
At University, we have an annual ball as well as several course socials. There is also a course football team. On placement, there are department socials and also team socials which provide the opportunity for networking.
Yes
The people who work at PwC are very friendly and the office environment is very positive.
It is important to stay organised as you may have several tasks ongoing at any one time. This is applicable to both the placement and university.
