My role involves being part of a team and completing audits for clientele. I communicate with the client on a daily basis to resolve issues and document these. I carry out tests to gain a level of assurance over the financial statements of many different industries PwC has to offer.
I have developed a lot of excel skills with I have built upon form my previous placement at pwc. I am now able to organise my work to better develop these and leverage this to gain more efficiency. Excel skills such as quick shortcuts and also files that require different knowledge
I thoroughly enjoyed the flying start programme! This has been my final placement with pwc and I can happily say it has been a blast. I have learnt a lot this placement and grown more as a person. I hav ebeen able to diverse more into the working life everyday.
It is well organised with a good amount of structure, as you are able to move up from placement 1 to 3. You are given a good amount of training prior to working in the office which equips you to carry out the audit work. There needs to be more of a training required for coming back though!
I receive a lot of support throughout the time I am in the office. You are given lots of support networks such as a buddy and career coach. This enables us to grow and perform well. You are also working in a team so there are lots of people you can talk to!
You receive lots of support whilst working towards the exams at PwC. You get check ins to ensure you are on the right track and you can always request more support if that is needed! There are many resources to help you through the exams and can access different contacts too.
It has massively helped my confidence in order to better work in the office environment and integrate with different people too. I have been equipped with performing my ACA exams whilst at university so this is a huge fast track to becoming a chartered ICAEW accountant! I have seen the positive progression i have made
There are many social activities that you can get involved in to meet new people and interact. From socials such as board game nights or going for drinks, there is a lot to get involved with! There are many sports activities too such as badminton which is always good after a hard day at work!
Yes
PwC has many career prospects that you can dive into and explore. There is always a good level of inclusion and they do offer a lot of good opportunities. There is a lovely support system in place so your thoughts are heard, there is a lovely office atmosphere as well.
I would ensure that you have researched the many jobs available well so you can put yourself out there and mention all the great qualities you have. Make sure to believe in yourself and get ready for the many challenges ahead! You need to put a lot of hard work in
