On a day to day basis I am participating in teams meetings discussions - talking to both colleagues internally and externally. I am talking to a mentor, where I have the opportunity to ask questions. I am involved a rnage of different tasks daily, to sending out large meeting invites to analgising data.
I have improved my skills in many systems such as Excel, SAP, Visio, Teams and other finance specific systems.
I am enjoying growing my networking and becoming more confident in my job role. I like the fact that I have a network around me and other apprentices in the same area who can relate to what I'm feeling and share different learnings to and from.
As the finance apprenticeship programme is relatively new to the company, the programme has been adapted to our needs and thoughts as we go along.
I receive a lot of support - when I have exams coming up my manager is flexible with me, so that I have some time during the workday to revise. I have a support network around me so that I have different people I can talk to if needed.
When I am struggling with a particular topic at college, I am able to reach out to my tutor asking for help - which has lead to video calls being set up and more questions provided. I have a brilliant skills coach who helps keep me organised with my college sessions and hep me when preparing for my EPA.
The qualification and the work I am completing are different but have cross overs, and my qualification can enable to me to find the root cause of a problem and understand my work better.
There are lots of extra-curricular activities to get involved in at work such as a Netball team, organised social events both inside and outside of work. For example, going to the bowling alley together.
