My role involves managing the front of house team and assisting with the data to day running of the business, from recieving in delivers to placing order requests. Doing health and safety check to checking our spending to ensure we stay with in budget as well as stock counts and reporting.
I have learnt how to forcast sales, check sales, how to order stock, how to received stock in and how to count stock. I have also learnt how to open and close and close a business, as well as how to monitor, report and track our finances so we stay in budget.
I enjoy the program very much, I have learned a lot from it and have been able to apply some of what I have learned into my job. It has also allowed me to develop existing skills that I thought I could not develop further without lots of hard work.
The programme start of wobbly to no one's fault, but quickly became well organised and structured. It is simple and easy to learn while providing the material, resources and knowledge needed to ensure the learns can progress unobstructed. There is a small learning curve when you first get started but this is quick and easy to over come.
My employer provides as much assistance and she possibly can. From ensuring my days off are side by side to ensuring I do t get placed on all the busy shift. She ensures I have a balanced work load when she can and that I don't get overburdened with stress.
My training provider offer lots of support when I am working towards my qualification, from advise on subjects to helping locate sites that can give useful information that will allow me to continue my progress towards my qualification. She also helps me by breaking down parts that I don't understand to more easily understandable ways.
The qualification I am working towards is already helping me perform better in my role as a team leader as it has helped me identify place were I can improve, were feel I proform better and were I have not even begun to develop skill. This has lead me to focus more.
