  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I am a lab based scientist, I work in the bioprocessing area. So I use large fermenters to produce pharmaceutical compounds that can be either further studied or maybe used for animal studies. I work with data that are produced during our experiments and that is why I decided to start the apprenticeship

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I had a base knowledge but I wanted to have more time to focus on this. I used that as a base and I am still developing many new skills in the use of Excel and I hope that they will be helpful in the future for my job and my colleagues.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I like the programme because is self paced for when it's needed to learn new concepts but it gives you the opportunity to gather for hackathons and also you have mentors that guide you and meet with you monthly. It is a very well designed programme course and I like it.
