My role as a Team Member at Brewers Fayre is a customer facing role, which is orientated around taking customers orders at the food till or bar, taking food to their tables, and maintaining the presentation of the restaurant by keeping it clean.
The programme and management have played a big part in boosting my confidence and self-esteem in not only doing my job better, but feeling much better in myself. I have improved so much through the experience of working in this role.
I thoroughly enjoy my experience so far, I am enjoying doing things I never thought were possible for myself, such as fundraising for Great Ormond Street Hospital, and becoming a positive influence.
I find the programme to be well organised, and structured in a way that makes sense, so it is understandable. The expectations I am expected to meet are enough to challenge me but not too much that it is unattainable.
I am incredibly fortunate to have an employer who cares so much about my progress in my programme and my job role at the site, I feel well supported and encouraged which is a big motivation to do well and push myself, knowing I have the support there.
My training provider always supports me with anything that I need help understanding, and is always there to clarify things for me. We have meetings to discuss my progress where we talk about my learning which I find really helpful.
It pushes me to learn more about what I am required to do, and the importance of it, knowing this has been key for me because it motivates me to do the best I can at my job, ensuring I am also compliant with laws.
There may be, but it is not something I have enquired about. I am part of a group chat for members of East Midlands Region with people at different sites all raising money for Great Ormond Street Hospital.
Yes
They have proved to me countless times that I am supported and cared for whilst working for this company, and feeling this way is empowering.
