I usually work on what more senior members of the team send onto me, this usually is drafting letters for HMRC, filling out and sending forms, doing more basic admin work, filling out tax computations and completing spreadsheets with figures received from around the business.
I've gotten more proficient with Microsoft Office, and learned how to use basic tax software. I also have improved my teamwork skills and eye for detail
I love it, I never thought I'd end up in this industry within finance, but it's really nice and every day brings something different to work on.
It's great, the other people in the team know about my study days in advance and don't send me work on those days, and they've also taken the qualification before so they know what's going on.
My employer gives me the right days off, my colleagues are willing to tutor me for difficult questions, and I've been told to take as much time as I need to study before exams as long as I have no urgent pending work
My training provider is great, and just today solved a query for me in under an hour that was causing a bit of stress for me and my manager in terms of study days
I've learned a lot of stuff that I use on a regular basis at work, so really well, and everything is structured similarly
Yes, there are societes to get involved in, and the apprentices are regularly involved in greeting new apprentices or going to career events. There are also volunteer days
Yes
It's a nice place to work, everyone is great, the job is hybrid and the support and benefits are excellent
Be yourself in the interviews and really actively take part
