I do a lot Grinding, Burning and gouging on a day to day basis. I work in quite a physical environment and enjoy it due to me being quite active.
I have learnt how to use grinders, burners, gougers and most other general tools. This has all helped me with my day to day life as well as at work.
So far I have no issues with my apprenticeship and love working with my colleagues. The training has all gone at my own pace and I haven't been rushed into anything.
It has all been very organised so far and come together in order very well.
I feel very comfortable speaking to my employer about any issues/situations I have. They are extremely supportive about anything I go to them about.
Training support has been pretty good, I do feel like I struggle quite a lot with certain things but they are ready to help whenever needed.
Everything that I am training towards is exactly what I will be doing when out of my time. Therefore I feel so far they have done a perfect job with the real world experience.
I personally do not do any extra activities, although I am sure there are social teams and such like a apprentice council and such.
Yes
I feel that the diversity within BAE is so large that it is something you cannot miss out on. There is something for everyone and the people and environment is incredible.
Enjoy the experience.
