Overall it is a very good experience and the qualifications are amazing as this is all included with the Apprenticeship. On a day to day bases, it is working on different projects and using different software's to create a design and model. These software's included Inventor and AutoCAD.
Personally when joining the scheme i did not know anything about what i was apply for, so everything i have learned has been new experiences and always learning different skills within the business. Some of these skills are learning to use certain software like AutoCAD and inventor. and using these on a daily bases.
I really enjoy the programme as it is giving a lot of key skills and learning that all can be used to adapted to the future of the programme. Everyday in the office is a different day as there is always new thongs to be completing and doing so it is never a boring day in the office.
I personally feel there could be some changes to the programme to make it easier to understand and to follow, in certain ways it did feel quite rushed in the beginning and i feel like this could be adapter slightly better by spending some more time on each of the areas.
I personally get a lot of support from the employee, every 12 weeks there is a LPR which gives us the chance to say any worries or issues we may have within the company and can use this time to ask any questions that we may have too. So overall i think the support is ok from the employer.
With the training provider there is a lot of support when working towards the HNC, this is giving extra time for when it is needed, for example they have set a hour extra within the day to allow for any extra work that is needed to be completed, or if any support is needed then this can be used.
I personally think the HNC that is being completed doesn't rely on to the role i am doing slightly as in the HNC it is all about Mechanical engineering, whereas the role i applied for was Design. But overall it is a good experience to have as this could lead to other roles within the company.
Yes there is, there is loads of other activities going on within the company with STEM Activities to other things that take place on within early careers. Some of these are like Gokarting once a month, rock climbing and other actives that take place. There is many of different opportunities out there within the company.
Yes
As it is a very good company to work for overall, with loads of great experiences and different roles to do within one company. there is also many other opportunities to go to different sites around the UK if the work is not fully what you wanted to do. So i do highly recommended it
When applying, it is important to just give all the information correctly and just be prepared for a long process but it is very rewarding once it has been completed. Overall it is worth the wait on how long it takes to apply as when in the company it is a very good experience.
