Staying up to date with HNC learning and assignments. Working on engineering tasks relevant to the current placement (rotating placement areas)
Communicative, computing and software systems, mechanical and electrical principles and applications, time management.
It's challenging and interesting.
The HNC side and some aspects of the placement side are a little chaotic and unorganised, but mostly if you apply yourself then it all falls into place.
Any issues I have had were addressed and considered seriously.
Enough to pass the HNC
In my current placement, not much.
Yes plently. Apprentice and coworker events and activities
Yes
If engineering, as broad as it is, fits with you then the apprenticeship is a no brainer. Good wages that go up with experience, good working opportunities, flexible working hours and plentiful support.
Stay on top of the HNC and you get what you give when it comes to placements.
