  • Roles vary every year due to rotation around the business. We get to experience every element of the company before coming out of our time.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have developed my IT skills with all the different programmes the company uses on a day to day basis. I have also improved my English skills, picking up the language they use throughout the business.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy my programme a lot, it is exactly what i applied for and what i wanted to do with my career.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • They balance the university work well with placement work. However sometimes to the university delivery can use a bit of work.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • We have constant access to support. However with the amount of apprentices the higher ups are harder to get a hold of.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • We can a lot of support and I do not think we could get much more.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Perfectly. There has been many occasions where the uni knowledge has been projected into my work.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • As you get closer with the team you are working on you develop the relationship to be part of these. Me in particular, i am part of football after work on some nights as well as occasional extra curricular inside work hours with different tasks

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • I believe it is one of the most interesting apprenticeships that there is.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BAE Systems?
  • Show you really know what the company does and their morals are. Show you want to work there
