Support Planners and Senior Planners in my team through planning research, writing planning reports and providing general advice.

I enjoy the new challenges I face as I enter the start of my career. However, it can be difficult juggling professional work load with academic work load.
The programme is well organised as the RTPI APC route to Chartership is rigorous.
In terms of support for my academic studies, I receive one day a week off. There is some understanding around University deadlines to have flexibility over professional workload.
London South Bank University provide support through a module in my second year which aims to guide you through the process of passing my gateway to then start my route to chartership as a licentiate member.
I think the qualification provides some additional planning knowledge that is useful for general understanding. However, I feel the majority of the other modules completed hold limited practical experience.
