I am sat within the Residential Valuations team. We undertake valuations for loan security and taxation purposes. A typical day would include a site inspection and then writing a report to give to our client.
Being a non-cognate student, I am have learnt a lot on the job which would not have been covered whilst in university.
I am thoroughly enjoying my time in the team and enjoying the work. However, the best part is the people which make the day fly by.

We get a day off every week to study for the masters which is unlike other competitor programmes.
The qualification is fairly commercially minded and is therefore less applicable to my day to day role.
There are plenty of networking opportunities given through breakfasts, drinks and sporting events. There is a graduate football team which is run weekly.

Although the pay is below the market rate, the support and people may that decision worth it.
