School administrator - all office based, attendance, answering telephone calls, emails - face to face enquiries, genreal office duties - paperwork, admissions to school
Developed skills further and have a better understanding to my role - I can prepare and plan duties better and more productively. I would also now be able to run a project within school with more knowledge and confidence than before.
Being able to have time to talk to my tutor about what I needed and which direction I was going in, she also supported me and encouraged me to get over the final few months, which I found difficult.
Due to my role - I was able to organise the programme to fit in with my duties at work. she was supportive and we re-arrnaged a few tasks as opportunities arose throughout the school year.
At first I received a good level of support, then my collegue left and I was on my own the support faded - due to no-one being able to support me. We then had a period when there were changes in management and again the support differed.
My training provider was extrememly supportive, I had to take a break from study - due to personal issues. My tutor explaine dhow to apply for a break and what to do to get back on track.
Some areas of the course have definately helped within my role, there are elements of the course which do not apply to my role - due to working in a multi-academy trust, we have a central team who deal with HR/Finance/Business Development and Estate Management,
Currently not many - partly due to Covid and parlty due to I don't live near other staff.
Yes
The staff are all friendly and welcoming.
Be your true self and focus on the long term rather than each day. Every day in a school is totally different and there is alot of support for everyone.
