Daily activity varies to any area or engineering discipline. Involving largely shadowing experienced employees to learn and gain experience.
Developed more in depth knowledge of an engineering business' processes, documentation and operation.
I find it very enjoyable. Learning new things every day, with freedom to explore the areas you are interested in and focus on what you want to do with control of your own career.
The programme is well structured. With adequate support to guide you through the process of the course. However structure and delivery of virtual off job training is sub par.
Support is available. Alongside a community of peers.
Very little. Formal learning is delivered virtually to a poor standard. Resources and help are difficult to access.
The qualification has almost no relevance or transferability to the role.
Some opportunities available for extra curricular activity. Most opportunities are for the benefit of the business operation or profile and access to resources outside business interests are gatekept.
Yes
The job is incredibly interesting with a diverse and successful set of career opportunities. The benefits they provide allow good work life balance and the pay is above market.
Do it.
