  • Line chef working primarily on the starters section, occasionally grilling steaks and serving mains and desserts. I can cover all areas of the kitchen.

  • I have developed new knife skills and gained confidence and knowledge in all aspects of food and catering.

  • I loved learning new skills and have highly recommended other chefs in my work place try the program.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • I found the written side slightly tricky as we moved platforms half way through my program. However I always knew I could ask for help and understood the process.

  • I felt supported the whole time and knew I had the freedom with my shifts to complete my apprenticeship work.

  • I received excellent support

  • I feel the qualification has really helped improve my work as I am more knowledgeable about how and why things are done in the kitchen.

  • I feel secure in my job roll and love the atmosphere and team work


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Mitchells & Butlers?
  • I would advise that they have a passion for the job roll before applying, it really helps to love what you're doing and makes it a great place to work when people care.
