coming into work early morning and learning new skills and improving skills in the workshop building a portfolio for my apprenticeship and also doing knowledge reinforcing what we are learning in the workshop we also do lots of courses about things outside work like the environment how we effect it safe guarding topics eg alcohol abuse, homelessness, relationships etc.
developed existing hand skills learning better techniques to improve my work learnt new skills using larger machinery which I wouldn't have access to if i was at home or somewhere else eg guillotine, break press etc not only are we learning to use it we are learning to do it safely and correctly
to a high extent each day is different to the enjoyment goes up and down as there are things i like to do in the workshop and things which i wish i could avoid overall its a good environment to work in and there's lots of support around so i feel this is a successful programme
very there is a set plan of what we have to do and we have the ability to check and see what we need to complete and what we are doing other we finished that molecule we also upload all of are work onto leaerning assisstant which makes it very clear what we have completed and what we have left
i can easily receive support i mainly receive support from instructors as they give advice how to do things or human resources who gives us support or everything else from everyday issues or hospital opponents cleaning overalls we can support on what to do we also get offered support from our she reps on things related to safety and safe working practices
i receive some support from our training provider as they check up on how the apprenticeship going and if there's anything we are struggling with or need help with and how to do things we can also get help online to keep track of our qualifications and how we can keep working towards them
it helps me stay motivated and take more pride in my work as the qualification has a lot of potential to go anywhere especially thru bae systems who provides opportunities to work abroad and the fact that the qualification can be used anywhere and has a good income salary to support me
