My role as a maintenance apprentice is to gain experience with line running maintenance and take on different projects. I also have college one day a week
I have learnt many new skills including robot programming, plc programming and many social skills
I enjoy this programme thoroughly, it has allowed me to express myself and enjoy going to work to learn something I am interested
The structure is well organised with regularly updated placement plans to allow you to know where you are going.
I receive a lot of support from my employer, whether that be college or work based.
The training providers are good and support you if needed
It helps with the foundation however the work place experience is more valuable.
I play football in the week days after work with colleagues.
