  • Project Management based work. Placed within the business. Day to day activities include updating delivery plans for projects, engaging stakeholders, attending project reviews etc.

  • Communication skills, professionalism, leadership, collaboration. All skills and knowledge associated with project management.

  • Really enjoy it. Really interesting work, great people, have learnt loads.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Decent. Clearly defined placements, well integrated within teams for clear time frames. University delivery split between modules at home/on campus which isn't ideal.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Our progress is reviewed on a regular basis, support is always provided through placement managers for placement work. University support less accessible.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Not enough in my opinion. Individual support is tricky, support takes effort to access.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Have gained good knowledge for my role which i have been able to apply to my day to day work. Some training received not relevant at all, mixed.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Plenty. Always encouraged to get involved, lots of variation in what you can do. Maybe less accessible for people not working onsite on a regular basis.

  • Yes

  • Work is really engaging, the product is interesting which makes your work feel exciting and worthwhile. Pays well, flexible holidays.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BAE Systems?
  • Learn the product, know your stuff going into interviews. BAES love passion and interest in what you're working on, it drives success.
