Management of private and institutional estates including property, land and some commercial. Also management and advisory of strategic land around the country.
Having started with no knowledge, I have developed an understanding of many matters relating to land and property mangement including, tenancy negotiation, rental revews etc. I have been given a good level of responsibility to get involved in tasks alone.
I enjoy the programme, Savills have provided me the opportunity to balance work and study. Working in a rural environment I have many opportunities to get on site and enjoy this thoroughly.
The programme is well structured, I work 20% of my time off-the-job, and this time is well allocated to me. I know where I will be at the end of my apprenticeship and have regular catch ups between uni and work to track progress.
Savills provide a good level of support, whether this is company wide or within the office. If I were struggling, I know where I would need to go and get help.
Attending university in person ensures I am able to meet and get help from lecturers if needed. The university staff are quick to respond if I need advice.
I have a level of understanding provided by the university that I can put into practice when working. Certain legal or tenancy matters are easily explained in class.
There are many activities. We have regional and local get togethers as well as many sporting and charity options.
