  • Reporting on key issues within the current major programme and providing support to Control Account Managers.

  • Stakeholder management, leadership, communication, risk and change management, earned value management, use of various toolsets such as primavera, aveva, windchill, microsoft and sharepoint.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • Fantastic programme that provides a wide overview of BAE Systems naval ships through experiencing the various projects and aspects that make up project management. There is also many a wide variety of opportunities to stretch your development though leading smaller projects and working with other apprentices.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Very well structured. 6 month placements for the first 2 years and then 1 final year specialising - this allows for a wide range of experience.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Many people within the company have been through the apprentice or graduate programme to they are more than willing to help & support you learning. Early Careers department look after your wellbeing and the PM function look after your development.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Unfortunately our training was impacted by Covid-19 and therefore the training was done virtually, this negatively impacted the experience.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Learning on the job whilst receiving training was a great experience as you are able to link back things you've learnt in the classroom to the job.

  • Lots of networking opportunities across the company.

  • Yes
