As a Training Coordinator I am responsible for organising and overseeing site-wide training, learning & development. I also regularly collaborate with key stakeholders across our operations to refine, improve and streamline existing processes from small to mid-size project scales. Helping me with all of this are my own training team!
I initially started my apprenticeship when I was a Team Leader in the warehouse and I found this to be an excellent way to develop my interpersonal leadership skills and learning effective management techniques to get the best possible results and satisfaction from my team members.
I enjoyed the opportunity to network with other leaders on the programme and ESP are a fantastic provider offering substantial support with on-site/virtual guidance. The programme was structured in a way which I found easy to follow, learn and complete to a high standard.
Overall the workshops and calls were scheduled with a lot of notice and my coach was very organised and arrive promptly to each session. The content was spaced out over 18 months which I felt was enough time to fully absorb the material.
Initially when I started the course I found time off-the-job to be a huge challenge due to operational requirements, however over time my employer started to buy-in more and more to the importance of the courses not just for myself but other apprentices.
There isn't enough space to emphasise how supportive ESP were to me. was consistently available for adhoc calls/sessions in between his huge amount of responsibilites and there were other coaches as an example) that took the time to provide me with additional learning.
Transitioning from Team Leader to Training Coordinator I was able to take the skills I learnt and apply them in a wide variety of ways. The course really helped shape my confidence and leadership skills to allow me to do the best possible work I can with others.
We have recently started a 5-a-side football team and have regular volunteering opportunities throughout the year (i.e. working with local charities/councils).

Wayfair has been welcoming and supportive to me since day 1 coming in as a temp agency worker. They recognise and value true potential and reward high standards of work accordingly. The opportunities to build a career here are nothing like I have seen previously in any other company.
Be authentic and true to yourself! Wayfair is a very people-centered workplace and has a big culture of inclusivity and diversity. Be respectful and honest, and of course, never shy away from a challenge. Opportunities to grow will come fast with good work so take them!!
