My role includes cleaning up after people along with providing great service to the customers that come through the doors to make sure that they are satisfied with their stay at the restaurant. This can be done by going the extra mile to meet their specific needs and wants and expectations.
I have learned so many new skills that I did not know before, but also I have managed to gain so much knowledge about ones I already knew and had so to see how far I have come by constant development is a nice thing to reflect upon each day.
I really enjoy the programme that I am on as I have managed to learn many new things that I didn’t before, but also I can share my knowledge to my co workers as a teaching lesson, so we can all improve our own experience that we give to our customers.
My programme is really well structured with the different sections of learning that I can do, but also all the different types of knowledge that I learn each time I complete an activity. Overall, the programme is organised and managed really well to help meet and exceed expectations and it is nice to be a part of it.
I have received so much support from my employer by having a dedicated day to the learning, but also I can go to him when I need some assistance or need to complete a task that requires me to go out onto the floor and ask customers what they think, and gain their opinion.
The support I receive from my training provider is amazing as any questions or need to complete extra learning tasks I can go to her and she will help me out and provide what is necessary to help gain more knowledge in that area.
Overall, the whole apprenticeship helps me excel in my role and makes me alter how I handle different situations depending on the scenario that I have been provided.
There are not many activities to be a part of with work apart from helping with the charity RMHC where we do litter picks around our local area, picking things out from bushes and cleaning the natural landscape.
Yes
I would recommend McDonald’s to a friend because of the amount of support I have received from my employer, but also from Aptem, so I would recommend it as you learn so much from the apprenticeship.
Some advice I would give to other people applying to McDonald’s is to do the research prior and see whether it is the right job for you or would you be better off somewhere else as it is very fast paced and there is a lot to remember and learn.
