As a data analyst apprentice in the infrastructure governance team, my role involved collecting and analysing data to provide insights and recommendations to support decision-making about the management of organisation infrastructure. On a day-to-day basis, I work with software tools like Excel, JIRA and Confluence to produce reports for team members and external stakeholders. I also assist with compliance reviews and collaborate with other departments to ensure effective and efficient management of the infrastructure.
I have developed by abilities to work with data using software tools such as Excel, SQL, and Tableau, and to identify trends and patterns that inform decision-making about infrastructure management. Moreover, I have improved my communication skills through producing reports and presentations that communicate my findings to the team and external stakeholders.
I appreciate the opportunity to learn new skills through completing assignments and attending courses. This has allowed me to deepen my knowledge of data analytics and governance, and to apply these skills in a practical setting. I enjoy the structured approach to the learning that the apprenticeship provides, and feel that it is helping me to develop a strong foundation for my future career.
I have found my programme to be well organised and structured. The assignments and courses and thoroughly designed and build upon each other to deepen my understanding of data analysis. Additionally, the guidance and support from my advisor has been invaluable in helping me to navigate the prename and develop my skills.
I feel well supported by my employer. My team provides regular guidance and feedback and are always available to answer questions and provide support when needed. Additionally, I have access to range of resources and training opportunities which helps me to develop my skills and progress in my future role.

They have provided me with regular check-ins to ensure that I am progressing in my learning, and are always available to answer any questions or concerns I may have. There is a departmental wide coding club which provides an opportunity to learn coding and improve my technical skills. Additionally, there are regular apprenticeship events where I can network with other apprentices and receive support from more experienced colleagues. These activities have helped me to develop my skills and build connections within the bank.
