On a day to day basis I am an EY Associate within Assurance services. From day 1 I have received incredible face to face experience with clients and had the opportunity to control my workload and develop my client skills. I have worked on many fantastic teams which is due to the inclusive culture at EY. Essentially the work we perform provides stakeholders and potential investors confidence within a Company's Financial Statements. I have received a high level of responsibility and been given opportunities to develop my career in the 8 months I have worked with EY. Outside of work I have developed some fantastic, life long friends at EY and we often hold social events during the week and on weekends, the flexible working lifestyle allows for a good balance between work and social life. Overall the EY School Leaver Programme is very much enjoyable and provides an excellent opportunity for School Leavers.
I have developed many skills in the 8 months I have spent at EY. I have attended several training courses where I learned to develop my work skills through training programmes and my personal skills through interaction with clients and senior members of EY. I am studying towards my ACA qualification and have successfully passed 2 examinations already. Professionally I have developed at an eccentric rate due to the client exposure you receive from day one. The opportunities to develop skills is very common in the EY workplace and allows for rapid growth and development with regards to work and social intellect
I very much enjoy the EY School Leaver Programme and enjoy attending work each day.
EY values each person very highly, the size of the organisation is phenomenal however you as an individual are considered to be a key driver in EY's recent growth performance.
The programme is structured over 5 years and I believe this is a reasonable length for the programme, I can gain invaluable client experience and achieve my ACA qualification in this period.
Each day we receive help from our colleagues if necessary, the training provided comes from various sources and here at EY people are more than willing to help provide training and guidance.
The employer provides excellent training and the opportunity to receive feedback on recent performances. They provide guidance where you have excelled and where you can improve.
I believe the salary we receive is reasonable with regards to relevant costs.
There are frequent social and Company events all of which are very well planned and structured.
Yes
EY is a fantastic opportunity to work for a global professional services firm with truly remarkable ambition.
I would say the best advice is to be yourself, at EY we look for the personality of the individual that will become part of the EY culture. Background Company and Job related research is also key.
