  • Day-to-day cost consultancy based tasks. Undertaking Interim Valuations, change control cost tasks, undertaking measures, forming cost reports.

  • Developed a plethora of new skills regarding the construction industry and cost consulting practice in line with the Professional competencies required by the professional body associated with the practice - RICS. Additionally, this position has improved my interpersonal skills and allowed me to more effectively manage my time.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy learning and having tasks to do. It's interesting seeing what goes on behind the hoarding of a construction site and what needs to take place for construction to begin.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The Mace apprentice structure is very well organised. I feel like I develop at an adequate rate that doesn't make me responsible of things I am not capable of, whilst also giving me the opportunity to grow and develop my understanding of the industry.

  • Support is always present whenever I ask for it. I have NOT been in a situation in which I have asked for help and not received it.

  • My comments from the previous answer remain the same. I am yet to ask for help and not receive any,

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Sometimes the training from the university I attend feels slightly inadequate. However this is because my employer teaches me things about the job I do prior to the university.

  • Yes

  • It's the best working environment I have been a part of throughout my working life. I enjoy the work that I do. The benefits Mace provides to its employees are second to none. Annual leave is generous and the team I am part of is truly welcoming.
