My job role in my company is to shadow the experienced technicians and specialists in different job roles. This is the task for me throughout my apprenticeship to gain an understanding of knowledge required alongside skills needed in order to be a skilled and competent technician coming out of my learning.
I have learned a large amount of new skills during my time currently in my role. I have gained both mental skills and physical hands on skills. Mental skills such as the approach to different challenges and the ability to overcome adversity in difficult scenarios is something I have been developing and improving from the start until now. I am developing hands on skills every day as I carry out new tasks and jobs within the business requiring new processes and equipment to be used.
I really enjoy my programme because it is in a job role and environment that I am really engaged in, ranging from the culture of the business to all of my colleagues that I have met and have worked alongside. It seems everyone has a common goal to find a healthy balance in morale and seriousness approaching various tasks and challenges.
The programme is structured really well from BMW Group, however during my first year of the apprenticeship, I suffered with what seemed to be a lack of organisation from James Watt College ranging from not replacing teachers to poor communication. However, internally the placements on different areas of the business have been communicated excellently to me and my colleagues.
I receive a lot of support from my employer. This can range from challenges at work to personal issues or illness. They have been constantly supportive where I have requested support or shown that I need it and this is something I hold as a great aspect of this company.

Very well.
My workplace offers a variety of extracurricular activities for employees to participate in outside of work hours, such as fitness classes, team sports, book clubs, and volunteer opportunities. These activities promote camaraderie among colleagues and help foster a healthy work-life balance. We are consistsantly given the oppurtunity to engage in these.
Yes
I would recommend working for my company because it provides a supportive and inclusive work environment that fosters personal and professional growth. The company values its employees and encourages work-life balance, offers competitive compensation and benefits packages, and promotes innovation and collaboration. Additionally, the company is committed to sustainability and social responsibility, making a positive impact in the community.
Tailor your resume and cover letter to the job description, highlight relevant skills and experience, research the company, prepare for the interview, dress professionally, be punctual and courteous, and follow up with a thank you note. Stay positive and confident throughout the process! All of these will be great tips.
