The apprenticeship has been directly applicable to my sustainability role, providing me with academic reasoning to support our organisational action, news ways to address the challenges we face and the knowledge and skills to influence internally.
The programme is extremely enjoyable, it has been great to expand my knowledge on sustainability and business leadership.
Despite it being the first year of this course, it is well designed to cover all aspects and structured in a way which gives time to reflect and use group work to consolidate learning. All learning is delivered online which is great for flexibility and we get together on campus once a year which helps to foster good relationships within the group which I am sure will serve us well in the future.
I have received good support from the my employer both in terms of the time to dedicate to study and the support from my mentor to ensure I am achieving my goals whilst applying learning directly to my role.
Support from Cranfield University has been fantastic, with a dedicated apprenticeship tutor who is able to help me in ensuring the specific apprenticeship criteria is met.
The qualification has deepened my understanding of sustainability and has provided me with a strong academic grounding for the work I am doing. It has absolutely enhanced my performance at work.
