Supervisors are the face of Toolstation, making a fantastic first impression, building long-lasting relationships and going above and beyond to make our customers happy. It isn’t an average retail role and it is much more than just a store job. We serve customers, and support the Store Manager but you’ll also be checking deliveries, picking items from the warehouse and stocking shelves.
I previously worked in a B2B environment so I have learnt general retail skills and now developing retail management skills through my Level 4 apprenticeship.
Love the programme and learning new skills, I always try to learn something new everyday and this programme provides all the opportunities!
Programme organisation and structure is excellent. The challenge is trying to balance the working and the learning!
I am given 10% of my contracted hours to work on my apprenticeship, so I feel very supported.
I can contact my tutor anytime via email and arrange telephone call/Google Meet if needed. We also have weekly drop in sessions where we can receive assistance as required.
Because I am new to retail, the training programme has enabled me to understand how to modify my existing transferable skill set.
We have numerous Trade Partner events in store which help to expand on existing knowledge and meet the professional representatives along with our own trade customers.
