Planning in construction involves creating and managing schedules of works in a form of a Gantt Chart. Programme of works is an important tool for tracking progress and reporting the status of a project.
I have learnt how to structure the data I collect to enable more efficient analysis and reporting. I also learnt how to create dashboards which help communicate information with the project team.
The programme gives enough time to complete the projects and learning. There are plenty of resources available and communication with the coach is very easy. All workshops are very interactive and informative.
The programme was structured well and enabled me to slowly introduce the new skills into my every day responsibilities. The communication through email was regular, including reminders and updates. All projects came with instructions and requirements description that helped to ensure it meets the programme standards.
My employer ensured this opportunity is communicated to all employees. I was given enough time to complete the programme and assistance with finding data sets for all the projects. My line manager was present in all progress reviews and provided assistance when necessary.
The training provider was quick to answer any queries with regards to the application and any questions during the programme. There was plenty of resources provided in a form of a personal portal, community blog, webinars and extra benefits.
The Data Literacy programme helped me to gain the necessary knowledge to be able to manage data more efficiently and provide more in depth analysis. The new skills are also crucial for me to be able to achieve my personal development goals and the company goals.
There are plenty of networking events and groups which provide opportunities to share knowledge and socialise.
