  • I come in and work change requests with my supervisor using different systems placed in the work to aid me through the task. I have my work checked professionally and then I will upload it.

  • Yes, I have improved in: Excel, OneNote, Word, PowerPoint, AutoCad, Communication Skills, Organisational Skills, Teamwork, Leadership, Confidence.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I have enjoyed the programme to a great extent. The work side has been a brilliant learning opportunity to get a good insight into a professional working environment. There have been a couple issues on the college aspect, however the bulk has been good.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The programme is well structured with a clear plan put in place. Any deviations to the placements, we get told ahead of time in order to be able to make the necessary adjustments to ensure a smooth transition into the next placement.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive the correct amount of support from my employer. Having people who have done the programme around me in almost every placement is a big benefit as they understand what kind of help I may require. At the same time, I am not spoon fed the answer.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • At times it can seem a little distant, however should there be any issues, my training manager is always there should I have any issues to step in and help sort things out.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • The qualification and the role work hand in hand. I am able to cross reference a lot of what I do in my daily tasks to the class theory and it helps put the fundamental principles into perspective.

  • Yes.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • It is a great company with a really healthy working environment with professionals who push you to improve. It has good prospects for future projects and provides plenty of opportunity for learning and development.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BAE Systems?
  • Do your research, learn the background of the company as well as the site. Know facts about the project.
