I come in and work change requests with my supervisor using different systems placed in the work to aid me through the task. I have my work checked professionally and then I will upload it.
Yes, I have improved in: Excel, OneNote, Word, PowerPoint, AutoCad, Communication Skills, Organisational Skills, Teamwork, Leadership, Confidence.
I have enjoyed the programme to a great extent. The work side has been a brilliant learning opportunity to get a good insight into a professional working environment. There have been a couple issues on the college aspect, however the bulk has been good.
The programme is well structured with a clear plan put in place. Any deviations to the placements, we get told ahead of time in order to be able to make the necessary adjustments to ensure a smooth transition into the next placement.
I receive the correct amount of support from my employer. Having people who have done the programme around me in almost every placement is a big benefit as they understand what kind of help I may require. At the same time, I am not spoon fed the answer.
At times it can seem a little distant, however should there be any issues, my training manager is always there should I have any issues to step in and help sort things out.
The qualification and the role work hand in hand. I am able to cross reference a lot of what I do in my daily tasks to the class theory and it helps put the fundamental principles into perspective.
