Daily tasks vary depending on what placement we are in at the time. But daily tasks can include working on a process confirmation by gathering and collating required information and data, working on change requests, completing E035/E036 forms. Interactions with line managers/ other apprentices/ other staff occur daily to ensure a clear understanding of the tasks required.
Yes, one example of this is by working with others regularly in an office setting pushed me out my comfort zone and has allowed me to really develop my communication skills (which I struggled with previously).
I enjoy the programme as I find that the project being worked on interesting and being able to get involved with certain aspects is enjoyable, as well as being able to see all the different departments and having a placement in each provides an opportunity to understand various stages of the project.
The programme is structured well, having all 4 years planned out (all placements and dates) in advance of joining. As well as having the college HNC/HND route planned, however there was an issue with our first year of college not providing the correct units to go straight into the HND which will add another year of college.
We are provided a lot of support from BAE, with occupational health and wellbeing being emphasised to ensure that all employees are safe outside of work as well as in work.
We receive good support from City of Glasgow College, where all lecturers can give you additional help with subjects if required (and requested), as well as having a student support team within the college to help deal with any issues/ learning difficulties etc.
I am able to see how things that I have learned can/ are used within projects. There have been multiple times where I have understood fairly specialist topics in work due to the prior learning, which allows me to get more involved and not slow down others asking questions.

It is a great company to work for with lots of opportunities for job progression within the business. Also, doing an apprenticeship with BAE allows me to continue my learning while working.
Look into the business and what it does, also take a look at the project that you would be potentially working on and gain a little knowledge/ understanding of the product that BAE produce.
