On a daily basis I have a wide variety of responsibilities. I must firstly ensure that my engineers are scheduled on billable projects each day to ensure I bring in sufficient cash flows. I also must ensure all of my work is completed faultlessly and take the time to input all details correctly into spreadsheets etc.
I have learned lots of new skills from this apprenticeship, I have massively improved my communication skills since working in a professional office environment. I now have the ability to carry professional discussions effortlessly, this skill has been developed through taking a variety of different types of phone calls with different types of stakeholders.
I really enjoy my programme, my team is full of lovely supportive individuals who I look forward to working with everyday. My tutor is super helpful and will always give me the support I need in order to achieve my goals and complete my apprenticeship to a high standard and receive a distinction.
My programme is structured perfectly to give me the time and resources I need to ensure I can complete all my assignments to a high standard. The pre scheduled monthly video calls mean I can plan in advance how I will structure my week and ensure I can manage my workload.
I receive plenty of support form my employer. I have monthly catch ups with my manager to ensure I am not getting behind on any of my work and to make sure I am happy completing my new tasks. Our HR department also frequently sends out surveys and progress monitor questionnaires to complete which keep a close eye on my wellbeing and progress in the workplace.
My tutor is an excellent help when working towards my qualification. She is often contactable via Teams which means I can often get quick answers to my queries. She is patient and always makes sure I am fully comfortable with each task I complete and will offer plenty of other resources to help me if he is not available.
My qualification directly corresponds with my role in the workplace. My qualification discusses various topics eg stakeholder management and governance- both of which are relevant in most of my day to day tasks. My course dives deep into the processes of project delivery and the steps required to ensure all stakeholders are pleased with the results.
My company makes great effort to provide out of work activities and events to ensure the team has time to bond out of hours. There is a gym on-site which is free to attend, a yearly festival with lots of games and activities and also team nights out around special events.
Yes
The company makes great effort to follow your progress and ensure you are comfortable in your position, the pay is higher than average and all members of staff are super helpful. Overall working for Air IT has been a great experience, I hope to pursue a long career with this company
My best advice would be to show that you care about the things you do, make great effort to prove how you have gone out of your way previously to get a task done to standard. Air IT care a lot about the service they provide and want to hire staff who care about what they are trying to achieve and those who will therefore go above and beyond to do so.
