A mechanical fitter who carries out maintenance jobs on naval ships which could include removing and installing a shaft or a rudder, or even smaller jobs where you might be removing a water pump or a valve connected to that pump further down the line of the system.
I have learnt a lot with engineering on mechanical systems including how to use different tools, thinking outside of the box with how to do different jobs, and how to implement my knowledge from one job to another job from experience.
The programme has been a very good experience so far, however there has been times when some things has been slow and not much work has happened. There has still always been something to get done.
It is organised very well with a great management team.
If I am in need of any assistance then I am able to get the help I need from my employer.
I receive as much help as needed whether I need more or less help is up to me in the situation I am in.
I am very confident, especially if I can apply to do a HNC qualification.

I have already recommended to multiple friends and 2 of them have applied to BAE Systems because it is a good apprenticeship to start with if you want to learn a lot.
Take it seriously and it will reward you, and do everything you can to be the best at what you can do to make yourself stand out from others.
