Day-to-day I manage cost, programme and commercial management. my role involves client face to face meeting and liaising with the Arup Design Team.
I have learnt a lot of Project Management skills, such as risk management, cost management and the use of scheduling softwares like Microsoft Project and Primavera P6. My leadership and communication skills have also greatly improved.
I enjoy my programme as uni and work overlap and I can practise what I learnt in the real world.
Well structured modules (with assignments) followed by reporting End Point Assessments.
A huge amount of support, should I require it.
I am supported, however the communication from the training provider is often very poor and can take a while for support to be received.
Greatly. I have confidence as I know the academic details and can apply that in the workplace.
I play football with Arup most Thursday evenings.
Yes
Really supportive work environment. No barriers to what you want to work in. Very social office.
Be yourself, personality counts more than academic grades.
