  • I’m responsible for a 24/7 call centre, leading a team of 10 team leaders with circa 150 indirect reports.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • The apprenticeship has helped me learn new leadership styles, project management, budget management and strategic leadership as well as softer skills around emotional intelligence and resilience.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I loved the programme, although at times a lot of effort was required, the reward is fantastic as it has helped me to grow as a leader.

  • Very well structured, modules covered off in face to face sessions with regular virtual check ins throughout assignments.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • The AA have been fantastic at allowing me the time to get my work done and for it to not impact my day job.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Sufficient support.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I use skills I have learnt daily and in the majority of interactions I have.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • We have sports teams and regular team nights out as well as larger departmental cross department briefs. There’s also the opportunity to attend outside events to support with knowledge and growth.

  • Yes

  • The AA are a fantastic company to work for if you are willing to put in the work to make it a career. There are plenty of opportunities to learn and push yourself to be better as well as promotion opportunities.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to The AA?
  • Recognise the job can be difficult at times and you will need a high level of resilience to bounce back from setbacks.
