On a day to day basis I work on my own contractual caseload including NDAs, Deed of Gifts. I also assist the regulations team with FOI requests and RoPSI requests, this includes managing the IPR inbox. I also get involved with various administrative tasks such as taking minutes for meetings.
I have learnt lots of new skills. I had no experience in contractual or regulation work and I am now able to work independently in both fields. This demonstrates that I have learnt a huge amount of skills and knowledge during my time as an apprentice.
I have enjoyed my programme. I have found some of the legal modules difficult and slightly disengaging which has been a struggle, however the majority of the learning has been fun and interesting. I have, however, really enjoyed the work I have been doing in the workplace.
The programme is well organised. I have a coach through Damar who is available to answer any questions. This person has been consistent throughout my course so I have gained a relationship with them. I have had several managers throughout the course which have been slightly difficult.
I receive a good amount of support from my employer. When I have queries over my casework someone is always happy to help.
I receive a fair amount of support. Most of the learning is self led however we have one group session in every module and catch ups every six weeks. If I have a quick question, my coach is always happy to respond to emails.
I think my qualification has helped me to perform better in my role. It has given knowledge on how to effectively communicate, draft documents etc.
I have gotten involved with apprenticeship networking events and volunteered to talk to school pupils about apprenticeships.

There is a really good culture at the Met Office. All the staff are really friendly which makes a big difference when you are learning. Flexible working is also very positive. I enjoy working with my team and I look forward to work.
Remember to research the company and their customers. Research the values and see how you can relate to them personally.
