I am a Cyber Security Architect focusing on Cloud Security. My day-to-day job includes working on customer accounts to provide a Cloud Solution and I also look at the Service Architecture too. This includes Service Desin.
Before starting Fujitsu, I had no prior technical knowledge. With the opportunities I have been given, I have been able to deliver solutions and work on customer accounts. I have also developed my leadership skills by taking on higher responsibilities since joining.
I have loved the programme. I have had the opportunity to shadow so many people and learn from them. I have also been given a lot of responsibility to promote Fujitsu and MMU externally which has given me the opportunity to network and make a bigger social impact.
I have had some good structure to my programme. My cohort was one of the first in Cyber to go through this course so now that I have seen the opportunities and structure the next cohorts have had, I would have liked to have had that experience more.
I have received so much support from my employer. In my opinion, everyone in the business just wants to see you succeed. I went through a period where I was struggling to deliver my work projects as well as my university assignments but by being honest I got extra support.
I did get a reasonable amount of support from my training provider. Some tutors are hard to speak to and their teaching styles did not suit me. However, my skills coach was amazing and I think without her support I would not have achieved what I had today.
It has helped me a lot. Before joining this programme, I had no technical knowledge at all, and with the help of this programme I know a lot more and can implement that into my work.
At Fujitsu there are a variety of inclusive communities, these include: Emerging Professionals, Women s Business, Cultural Diversity, Pride, Ability Matters, and Wellbeing. There are also activities to get involved in such as raising money for our charity partner.
Yes
I would recommend Fujitsu as a company because of the opportunities that you can get. This includes internal opportunities and shadowing opportunities. The inclusive communities are also great with the amount of support you receive from them.
I would understand what the business does, prep as much as possible too. If you are wanting to a join a Degree Apprenticeship then I would recommend trying to do some work experience that relates to your business area that you want to join.
