Stock reporting, PPV reporting, stock adjustments, audit work, general improvements to current processes.
I previously worked in practice so coming to an industry role has been a huge change, as such I’ve learned a lot. I’ve been able to develop my communication skills and have learned new areas of accounting.
I enjoy my job, it’s interesting and there is opportunity to move around to different areas of the business. My only criticism is my salary is not reflective of the work I do or the stress I am put under.
Fairly well structured, I feel I was put onto courses for exams before I had enough time to sit the exam from the last course which has been tricky.
My employer is very supportive, I get plenty of time within work hours to work on my apprenticeship, and within reason my apprenticeship comes first. My direct line managers have been amazing throughout.
My skills coach has been great, where I’ve needed to move courses around or if I’ve needed help navigating the system, she has been very responsive and helpful.
I’m only a couple of exams in so far, however I do feel that the training has helped better my knowledge and awareness. I expect the more I do the better I’ll be able to perform.
No, I don’t really have any time in my life to add more extra curricular activities.
Yes
Really supportive company, great culture, everyone (no matter how high up they are) is approachable and friendly, there is room for progression and recognition for a job well done.
Be friendly and approachable, from my experience having a team who work well together and get along is as important as your skills and qualifications.
