Analysing and presenting sales value and volume data, liaising in store inspections for the retailer my team works with, and driving organic growth online.
Yes - I have been given the opportunity to take on lots of responsibility and challenge myself whilst having a strong support network if I need help or guidance. There is a huge amount of practical learning, but if you want to learn even further the company has loads of online learning resources available too. Cross-functional shadowing is encouraged, so there is a lot of scope for what you want to do post apprenticeship.
I love the programme - it is a huge accelerator of knowledge, and gives me the chance to advance in an industry with practical, real business issues to solve.
It is very well structured - the aim is for my apprenticeship studies to align with my day to day job, so I am able to apply my studies to work and vice versa. Every module is carefully planned out to assist our learning.
Unilever provides extensive support to apprentices. Not only do we have regular catch ups with our line manager, we have apprentice networking events, apprentice training sessions and a huge amount of online learning materials, free mental health support and much more.
We receive extensive support - in addition to wider cohort sessions, we have sessions with our line manager and coach to align our job roles to our studies, and also one-on-one coaching sessions to really champion and support us as individuals. We also have lots of events and learning resources.
My learning with the training provider is very important in supporting me to do my day job - as my coach and line manager work closely to align my studies to my work.
There are loads of extra curricular activities - such as book clubs, Excel training sessions, apprentice coffee catch ups or evening socials. A lot of staff also play sports together.
Yes
I would recommend Unilever to a friend because the work environment is so supportive, everyone champions your success, and you are given so much opportunity to grow and learn. The company culture is really positive and friendly, and staff are motivated and inspired.
Be your true, honest self. The company prioritises candidates who make honesty, integrity and dynamic thinking a big part of their working ethic.
