Assistant Project Managers ensure that projects run smoothly from start to finish by helping with planning and execution. They often work on larger, complex tasks to assist more experienced Project Managers or closely collaborate with another team member who can provide guidance when needed. An Assistant Project Manager has many duties, but they typically focus on assisting in the organization and implementation of projects. You will help coordinate tasks, deliverables and data analysis, as well as administrative duties such as setting up meetings or drafting invoices to ensure that everything goes according to plan.
Yes, with an apprenticeship at Gleeds you learn new and exciting things every day. By working alongside experienced professionals in the industry, skills are always being developed.
Since the start of my apprenticeship programme, I have thoroughly enjoyed both my on-the-job learning and my university course. It is a great way to learn as you are able to apply theory knowledge learned at university into real world scenarios at work.
The apprenticeship programme is very well structured, with weekly lectures and on campus days issued at the start of every year. You can also see all upcoming modules/assignments which helps.
The support received from Gleeds has been great. If you need support for an assignment, people are always willing to help out, and there are quarterly check ins to track progress.
The support received from my training provider is also good. As well as weekly lectures you can set up 1-1 calls with module leads and also there are separate sessions to help with assignments or referencing.
My qualification really helps with my day job as it allows me to learn new theories that I can then apply to my work.
There are many social activities to get involved in such as regional social events, 5 a side charity football, and other networking events.
