My role is to assist the senior project manager on certain projects and run my own smaller projects with assistance when needed.
I am currently learning how to be a better leader and speaking to different people, working with people with different experiences.
I think the programme is very developed and they really want to push you to do well. This makes the programme enjoyable and more rewarding.
From start to finish, the course I enrolled on was set out from the start and the early careers programme was the same.
My line manager is very supportive, he gives me time to make sure I am able to study and if I need more time, he is flexible enough to manage this.
The support given from the training provider has been good, especially when it came to the maths and english exams. With the APM courses, the courses are very short, but I have raised this.
It has given me a better understanding of the role and how to apply aspects of my training into the day to day works.
Balfour Beatty has a portal where you can apply for different courses, they run multiple courses and you have to wait for your turn.
