Started in the student office, helping students as well as teachers. Now I am in the Finance department dealing with trips, bank reconciliations, minibus borrowing, booking minibuses.
Yes, I have learnt how to use PFM and FSM software, learnt about Pupil Premium too. Learnt how to use more applications in Outlook.
Got to meet new people in different departments whilst I moved around the school, learnt policies and procedures as well as legislation.
Well organised, got lots of information from my training provider for my assignments.
Lots, I struggled to get time doing coursework at the beginning due to high demand in student office but then moved over to finance and got a lot of work done and caught up. They were always happy to provide me with the time to do my assignments and showed me how to access policies and procedures of the school.
A lot of support from my tutor, she gave me a lot of information to help with assignments and was always there when I needed something.
The finance bit made me understand a lot more what needs to be done on a day to day basis. Helped me understand about priorities and what needs to be completed first.
We do staff badminton sometimes, also a family farm day where we can take our families to the farm at school to see the animals.
