  • I learnt how to effectively manage my time and how to write succinctly.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • My apprenticeship was a great experience - I found that the content covered was really relevant to my job role and gave me a useful introduction to all areas of HR.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The programme is very well-structured - I liked having specific deadlines to meet and there was plenty of time to complete the monthly assessments. If the assessment was a big piece of work, you were given longer to complete it as well.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Line managers are Lidl are on board with the apprenticeship and provide you with support or time to carry out your apprenticeship tasks if necessary.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • There was a lot of support - particularly when it came to the tutor sessions that were held each month. The tutors went through relevant material to help with upcoming assessments and you could also email them to ask questions. You never feel alone!

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • During the apprenticeship I learnt about employment law which has proven to be useful when carrying out my day to day role.

  • Yes

  • Lidl really invests in your development and wants you to do well. The work is very varied and interesting - no day is the same!

  • Look at the company mission and values before you apply and incorporate these into your cover letter and interview preparation.
