I am a customer service adviser working within the digital team, I help answer customer queries via social media platforms and using Live chat functions. It is my job to make sure customers receive the correct knowledge to make their holidays run smoothly.
I have developed my personal development skills and have a greater understanding of areas such as safeguarding and diversity. I am currently working on leadership skills and developing my knowledge in different areas of the business.
The programme gives me freedom to learn at my own pace as although there are time constraints for the apprenticeship itself, I can work through the areas of work without pressure. I am given a lot of support and content to assist so I feel confident completing tasks.
I have regular reviews and catch ups with my assessor to review progress. The course itself is designed so that I can complete the areas in any order to help fit in with my daily role.
I am fully supported by my employer, I am given the allocated time each week to work on my apprenticeship and am able to speak with my line manager whenever needed. If I require more time or to change the allocated time, it is easy to do so.
My training provider is always on hand to speak too either via email or teams messaging, it is very easy to arrange a catch call if needed.
I feel that this qualification will help me more in the long term rather than short term as it will develop me in order to progress to different areas of the business.
I am currently part of a book club through teams as I work from home so have limited access to face to face activities. I am also able to take part in virtual team nights every few months with my immediate team and manager.

It is one of the leading tour operators in the world and although I do not always agree with some of their ways of working, they do try to put the customer and staff at the heart of what they do.
Explore all areas of the business to find what role suits you. There is more on offer than just selling holidays and my eyes have been opened to the possibilities in other areas.
