I am an apprentice so most of my day is used up doing my industry rotation job, other parts of my day are used doing volunteering, uni work or support.
Yes, I have developed an extensive catalogue of skills, especially in electronic hardware and software that I either never had before or I did have but at a very low level.
I thoroughly enjoy my programme. I have a cohort of people who make it slightly better, but also I have enjoyed getting lots of experience and meeting a whole bunch of interesting people.
For the majority, my programme is structured very well, we had a set out 8 week onboarding calendar when we first joined, we had a lay out of our first year and what to expect and when I started my 2nd year I was equipped with the tools I needed to move onwards.
We receive as much support as we require, there are many, many people who are happy to support me when I need them too, there will always be someone ready to help.
We generally get a sufficient amount of support from our training provider however it normally only becomes available if you ask.
It helps me a lot as I use many of the software and hardware skills I learn in my rotation at work.
Yes, personally I play 5-a-side football and also am a member at the free on-site gym.
Yes
Not only would I but I already have recommended a friend which the company hired. It is a great company for apprenticeships as it offers you so much experience and learning to take you much further than a degree alone can take you.
Be yourself, be interested in the company and the people you meet, be confident and be friendly.
